DVD Piano Instruction VS Private Teacher

Those who are searching for piano instruction today have more than a few choices.

The most common one is certainly to go for private lessons every week or every month. Yet, private lessons can be very costly (around $50/hour) and not always it’s easy to find a good teacher in your area.

Alternatively, the web today gives you access to high quality dvd piano instruction at a very affordable price. In addition, online piano lessons offer way more options than just a private teacher.

For example, for less than $50, you can get dvd piano instruction in tons and tons of styles, software that helps you practice without having a band and even lessons on your favorite songs.

Having been a musician for over twenty years, I believe that gaining an education on more than one style is really important, in particular for beginners who are not sure on what kind of music they enjoy the most.

And if you think you are too young or too old to learn piano, think again... There are dvd piano instruction programs out there that can teach you how to play piano even though you know nothing about music (hey, we all have to start from somewhere!).

One of my favorite is the “Rocket Piano” dvd piano instruction course. It is a course for both beginners and more experienced players that can teach you play the piano in any style.

It’s a step-by-step program that will definitely cut your learning curve in half, even if you have never studied music before...
