Which of these amps should I get for a Squier Standard Strat? This will be my first guitar.- http://goo.gl/ehkIw- http://goo.gl/s0sxd- http://goo.gl/t4hk2- http://goo.gl/kn0y3And should I get an Intelli or Musedo clip-on tuner? Do they work for electric guitars? Also, should I get thin, medium, or heavy guitar picks (remember, I'm a beginner)?
The Intellitouch PT10 clip on tuner is the best. YES, it does work on electric guitars.Guitar picks are a very personal thing. You need to try them all and then decide which you prefer.I do not recommend any of those amplifiers. So, you're a beginner. That does not mean you should learn to play with a crappy amplifier. If you like the guitar and spend a lot of time practicing, you will soon want to play or practice with a band and you can't do that with any of those amplifiers. If you don't like playing guitar and want to sell it, no one else is going to want to buy a crappy amplifier either. So, you just wasted your money. This is what you really need ...http://www.amazon.com/Fender%C2%AE-Frontman-Electric-Guitar-Amplifier/dp/B001L8IJ0I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1289325026&sr=1-1 - When you decide to sell this amplifier it will still be worth a lot and it will be easy to sell. This is a great amplifier for the price. If you cannot afford that much ... then buy this one ... http://www.amazon.com/Fender%C2%AE-Frontman-Electric-Guitar-Amplifier/dp/B0002KZQ34/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1289325026&sr=1-4 - But, this amplifier is not good enough to play or even practice with a band. You need a minimum of 100 watts for that. This amplifier is an excellent practice amp. My grandson has one and even though he now has a 100 watt Marshall stack, he still uses this amp to practice with.Do not waste your money on anything less. For your first amplifier, stay with a Fender. It is the best match for your Squire.
