How 2 Play The Piano | How Can I Learn To Play Piano Songs More Efficently Besides Practicing Over And Over?

I want to play a song that's like lvl 4 (calling to the night) but I can only play lvl 2 songs.

Warren's answer is one technique, but there are several techniques. Another way is to learn the song backwards. Play the last phrase, then the second-to-last, put them together. Play the third-to-last, play all three phrases together, etc. This is one of the fastest ways to learn a piece.Another way is if there's a section that you're having problems with the fingering (too fast) play it with different rhythms. First do dotted eighth notes with a sixteenth, then the opposite, then do triplets. Then play as written. If you're having a hard time jumping to a certain chord, play that chord in every octave, then try that phrase again. You'll have it.Then there's the boss method, where you start at a slow speed with a metronome and go faster and faster each time you play it. That method is pretty similar to the method you're using right now.Hope these techniques help you out.

Get some books?

You may be using the wrong practice system Practice only passages which you cannot play. After you have hit all the bad spots put the piece together again Do'nt practice what you can play. Then at the end of the session reward yourself with a favorite which you can play.
